The sheriff of Woodbury County has served the original notices of suit which will be commenced in the District Court by John B. Goldie against Sioux City Traction Company for $10,000 damages for the killing of his 3-year-old son by one of the company’s cars. The plaintiff alleges that the accident was due to the carelessness of the company’s employees. The child was killed on the morning of October 25. The killing caused a great deal of comment, and as a result the Sioux City Traction Co. was served with a notice to put on conductors, but the order has not been enforced.
