Martha Ann (Bratton) Wilson was the wife of James C. Wilson (1827-1888). They married 1 Oct 1848 in Crawford County, Illinois. Sometime after 1874 they moved to Rockwall County, Texas for a few years but had returned to Crawford County by 1888. The 1900 US Census shows that Martha was the mother of 9 children, but only these have been identified: Florence, Emma, Harry(or Harvey), Oscar, Mary E., John M., and Maggie T. Wilson. James and Martha are buried near daughters Maggie and Mary E (Wilson) Hoel.
