Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 4 at 2 o'clock from the Louden Schlosser home in Millington for Mrs. Amanda Hawley, age 69, who passed away there on September 1, following an illness of six months. Interment was in Grace Lawn cemetery at Flint.
Mrs. Hawley was born in Genesee county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hendershott and had lived in Genesee county during her entire lifetime. She became the bride of Alfred Hawley at Otisville on August 21, 1889.
Surviving are three sons, Clyde of Pontiac, Earl of Dayton, Ohio, Arlie of Flint; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schlosser of Thetford, Mrs. Juliet Rowe of Flint; one brother, Bernie Hendershott of Richfield.
