Mrs. Mathilda Rasmussen, 88, former resident of Denmark, died Wednesday night at a Town of De Pere nursing home. The former Mathilda Luedtke was born Nov. 11, 1895 in the Town of Morrison to the late Wilhelm and Fredricka Prust Luedtke. She married Nels Rasmussen on Sept. 3, 1916.

Her husband preceded her in death Aug. 12, 1948.

Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Mrs. Vivian Meltz, Eslie and Edmund Buechel, all of Milwaukee; Hazel and James Margraf, De Pere; Mabel and Eugene Peterson, Green Bay; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Oswald and Rose Ann, De Pere; Randall and Mary Ann, Oliver, all of Milwaukee; Clarence and Marvel, Eleva. Wis; (name withheld, still living), Oconto Falls; 36 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one grandson, 12 sisters and brothers.

Friends may call at Knutsen Funeral Home, Denmark, after 2 p.m. Saturday. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Zion United Methodist Church, Denmark, with the Rev. Ron Helgerson officiating. Burial in West Danish Cemetery.
