Gerri Goins enjoyed bowling and growing African violets. She was an AVSA Master judge and a member of the Houston Study Club, the Spring Branch African Violet Club, The Houston Gerneriad Club, Central Texas Judges Council and Lone Star Africa Violet Council as well as a member of the African Violet Society of America (AVSA) and Dixie.
She grew beautiful African violets and won numerous awards. She held offices at the local and state levels. She and her husband, Bill, attended many AVSA national conventions.
She is missed by all of her African violet friends.
