Louan Compton Campbell, widow of Charles F. Campbell, died at her home on First Street in Central City, Kentucky on November 23, 1940.
Mrs. Campbell was a descendent of two prominent pioneer families of Simpson County, Kentucky, being the daughter of T. A. Compton and Manda Hawkins Compton. She was born on November 25, 1860, in Simpson County.
Mrs. Campbell, when a young girl came with her parents to Greenville, and was later married Mr. Campbell.
At the time of her death, she was survived by a daughter, Miss Mallie Campbell; a son, Roy Campbell; a niece, Mrs. R. L. Bryson, whom Mrs. Campbell reared from childhood; a sister, Mrs. G. B. [Harriet Compton] Kennedy, and a great niece, Miss Roberta Sue Bryson.
