Mrs. Nora Kench, 82, died at 8:30 Thursday evening at Ionia County Memorial hospital. She had been a patient there since Monday but had been in ill health the past two years. Born May 23, 1881 in Ohio, she was married to Charles Kench, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Surviving is one son, Charles Kench, Jr., of Saginaw.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Boynton funeral home.

Funeral service for Mrs. Nora Kench, 83, who died Thursday evening at Ionia County Memorial hospital, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Boynton funeral home. The Rev. Harold A. Jayne, pastor of First Methodist church, will officiate and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
She was born in Sebewa township, Ionia county May 23, 1881, and for the past 15 months had been confined at Ionia Rest home. She had been ill two years. December 16, 1908, she was married to Charles L.D. Kench who died February 9, 1955.
Survivors include a son, Chester Kench, Jr., and a sister, Mrs. Estella Newland of Saginaw; and a stepbrother, Clair Pierce of Lafayette, Colo.
Mrs. Kench was a member of First Methodist church.
