Samuel, my great great grandfather, was a Confederate soldier. He signed on August 28, 1861 - mustered out October 27, 1861. Samuel received an honorable discharged due to being medically unfit for duty after breaking his leg.

Father of Lizzie, Samuel Jake, Martha, Lillie, Minnie Amanda, Berry W. and Harvey Cape.

Grandfather of Janie Louise Salisbury Hiott, Gertrude Salisbury Hiott and of Robert P. "RP" Hiott and Jim A Hiott.
