William Reynolds was one of the earliest settlers in Owen County. He arrived as early as 1823 and made a good farm in the northern part of Morgan Township. These early pioneers were of the poorer class in the States from whence they came, and experienced many hardships while clearing their homes and gaining a foothold in the new country.
He was a minister of the 'Church of the United Brethren in Christ'.
