Maudell Berglund passed away at the age of 88 on January 24, 2012.
Maudell is survived by her son, Carl "Chip" Berglund, daughter, Kay Scheer and her husband, Frank, step-son, Dale E. Berglund and his wife, Linda as well as five grandkids and six great-grandkids.
Maudell was preceded in death by her husband, Marlon C. Berglund and son, James A. Harville.
Maudell was born Maudell Crenshaw in Callahan County, TX, she moved to New Mexico in 1955.
Her fondest memories were made while residing in Jemez Springs, NM from 1967 until 1985 where she volunteered with numerous organizations. Maudell served 14 years on the Village Council, the later part of that tenure as Mayor, President of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Jemez Valley Medical Clinic Board of Directors, the Jemez Valley Parent Teacher Association and a member of the New Mexico Resource Conservation and Development Council just to name a few. There will be a celebration and picnic to honor her life later this spring in Jemez Mountains. In lieu of flowers, she wished that contributions be made to the Jemez Springs Presbyterian Cemetery Fund, PO Box 97, Jemez Springs, NM 87025.
