He was born to Frances and Joesph Miller. George went to Maple Grove Grade School and graduated from Boise High in 1937.
He prodly served his country in the south pacific, Australia, New Guinea and th Philippines in WWII. He was with the 41st Division, Field Artillery Battalion, Battery B. When he was discharged in 1945, he went to work as a professional sign and house painter for his brother Joe in Burbank, CA.
In 1949, he married Bertha Josephine Pompe in Boise. They remained in Boise, where they raised a family and were happily married for 60 years.
In 1946, George went to work for the Internal Revenue Service. After 28 years as an auditor he retired. He enjoyed his retirement with family and friends playing Pinochle, Cribbage and Skip-Bo. He was a passionate reared and his knowledge was vast. Most importantly he was a man of great faith. As a lifelong Catholic, George was a part of the community at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and later Our Lady of the Rosary. George loved to sing with his brothers and we fondly remember being serenaded at many family gatherings.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; son, Joseph David; three brothers; Joe Miller (wife Louie), Carl Miller (wife Wilma), Bill Miller (wife Helen); daughter-in-law, Nancy Miller and son-in-law, Terry Olson.
