DEATH OF MRS. JOHN CARLING - Died - Near Fort Churchill, July 22, Mary Elizabeth, wife of John Carling, aged 32 years and 10 months. The remains were buried in the graveyard near the old fort on Saturday morning.
Mrs. Carling was for many years a resident of the Lower Carson Valley, where she held a high place in the affection and esteem of her neighbors, and her death will be a sad loss to the community, where she was universally beloved."

BODIES MOVED -- Undertaker Kuhn removed the bodies of Mr. Newman, his son, John, his daughter, Mrs. John Carling and her two daughters, from the Fort Churchill cemetery to the Dayton cemetery this week. A.J. Newman had the bodies removed at the request of his mother, Elizabeth, before she died.
