She was born Feb. 18, 1894, in Marsh Creek, Pa., the daughter of Jacob C. and Lydia DeHaas Bechdel.
She was a graduate of Lock Haven Normal School in Pennsylvania and taught in Blanchard, Pa., and State College, Pa. She was an active member of the Blanchard Church of Christ for many years, where she served as Sunday school teacher and treasurer.
She was a 50-year member of the Col. Hugh White/Col. John Chatham Chapter of the American Revolution and the Eastern Star of Lock Haven. She was very active with the American Red Cross during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of the Bitner-Bechdel Post.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Marks of Bemus Point; two granddaughters: Diana Reed of New Wilmington, Pa., and Debra Lyons of The Woodlands, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband,W. Harold Clark, whom she married April 14, 1920, and who died May 4, 1989; two sons: Joseph D. and Robert H. Clark; four sisters: Dorothy Bechdel, Roxie Earon, Charlotte Heverly and Freda Collins; and three brothers: J. Frank, Joseph and Fred Bechdel.
The funeral service was held March 6 in Blanchard Church of Christ. The Rev. Russel J. Moldovan officiated. Burial was in Blanchard Church of Christ Cemetery.
