HILLAKER, Sata I. - Of Lewiston, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 95, died Friday, September 14, 2007 at Durand Senior Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Esther Irish officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. An Eastern Star memorial service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday evening under the direction of the Mt. Morris O.E.S. Chapter #474.
Sata was born April 17, 1912 in Grand Ledge, Michigan to the late A. Wesley and Alberta A. (Lamphere) Eldred.
She married James Hillaker March 11, 1967. He preceded her in death in 2004.
Sata owned and operated hair salons in Mt. Morris and Flint. She was past president of the Pine Beach Association in Lewiston and attended the Baptist church in Lewiston. Sata was also a member of the Mt. Morris O.E.S. Chapter # 474.
Surviving are: 2 sons: James (Carolyn) Green and John Green. Grandchildren: Jenny Donahue, Theresa Stacy, Rachel and Liz Green, Jim W. (Amy) Green, Monica Lawrence, Julia Martinez and Angel Carlos-Martinez. Great grandchildren: Cody, Lexie and friend Bill Lawrence and Brandon Green. Many nieces and nephews.
Sata was preceded in death by her sisters: Irana Bixby, Violet Dempsey and R-J Burdett-Potter and brother: Owen Eldred.
