Alice Funke Carbee was born to William R. and Leona Funke. She graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio and resided in San Antonio most of her life. She worked for many years in the retail business at Joske's of Texas then Dillards and retired from Montgomery Wards in the 1980's. She was married to Theron 'Bill' Carbee.
