Lyndal Lavelle "Bill" Stratton, age 88 of El Dorado, passed away on Saturday February 4, 2012 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.

He was born on March 5, 1923 in Thornton, Arkansas to the late Harvey Earl and Bertha (Clemons) Stratton.

Bill was a member of Cross Life church, formerly Second Baptist church, and was a United States Army Veteran, serving in World War II.

He worked for Sears Appliances & Electronics as a Service Tech for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Modean Giles Stratton, and by three brothers, Laverne Stratton, George Stratton, and Wilburn Stratton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, of thirty nine years, Dollie Manning Stevenson Stratton of El Dorado, two daughters, Pamela Burns and husband Rex of Spring, TX and Roxie Stratton of Shreveport, LA; one step-daughter, Deanie Connor and husband Charles of El Dorado; two step-sons, Ricky Stevenson of El Dorado and Bill Stevenson and wife Debby of El Dorado; one brother, Charles Stratton and wife Wanda of Marshall, TX; one sister, Carolyn Cox and husband Gary of Camden; two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and five step- great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in El Dorado with the Rev. Bruce Murphy officiating.
Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.

The family asks that memorials be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House.
