Frank M. Edwards, of the vicinity of Alexander, died at Passavant Hospital on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, at the age of 58 years old. Death was due to a trouble several years standing, which was complicated by a fall received several days ago while carrying a stove, and which necessitated an operation on Wednesday, from which the patient failed to rally.

Deceased was born in Iowa July 24, 1846, and while still a child removed with his parents to this state. He was married thirty seven years ago to Miss Rachel Henry, of Youngblood. To this union were born fourteen children, ten of whom with their mother survive. He also leaves four brothers: Noah of Nortonville, Austin of Kansas, Daniel of Jacksonville, and Robert of Alton. Also four sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Van Bidder of Scottsville, Mrs. Eliza Leak of Kansas, Mrs. James Arnold of Scottsville, and Mrs. John Spencer of Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the Baptist church in Nortonville, of which the deceased was a long faithful member. Rev. George Hart, of Franklin, will be in charge.
