Maxine and her husband, Don, owned and operated Metzger Hardware in North Topeka for many years, before retiring.
She married Harry “Don” Metzger on August 9, 1948 in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2000. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Theodore McClintock, Jr., Joe McClintock and Gordon McClintock.
Survivors include a sister Barbara Wrosch of Onaga, KS; a sister-in-law Marianne McClintock of Holton and many nieces and nephews
Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Mayetta Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Jackson County Medicalodge Activity Fund or the Holton Community Hospital c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
