Rowesville - Rufus Ralph Boltin, 57, died Wednesday at the VA Hospital in Columbia after a long illness. Mr. Boltin was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Johnny and Julia Lee Walling Boltin. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a World War II veteran. Surviving are his widow Mrs. Pansy Mae Davis Boltin; two daughters, Mrs. Wade Davis of Pensacola, Fla. and Mrs. Smittie Nelms of Orlando, Fla.; a son Ralph R. Boltin Jr. of Rowesville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George Stalvey and Mrs. Walter Matthews of Lake City, Fla., a step son, James D. Wheeler of Houston, Texas,; six sisters, Mrs. Willie Carrigg, Mrs. Joe Derrick of Columbia, Mrs. Frank Champy of Cordova, Mrs. Ed Nettles, Mrs. Henry Dukes and Mrs. Dantzler Edwards of Rowesville; a brother, John Henry Boltin of Cope; 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
