The fourth child of six of James A. Marlin & Eliza Musselman. He was born at the corner of Clark's Place & Reeves St, Phila (no longer there-Pearl & street that ran from there to Wood)

Henry died at Girard College on March 29, 1867, of Cerebro Spinal Meningitis, buried at Girard College grounds on March 31st by John C, Rulon, undertaker, 1313 Vine St. (Eliza Marlin lived right off Vine St. 6 blocks away.) The burials at Girard College were moved to the Girard College Plot at Laurel Hill Cemetery in 1881, according to the online book, "Stephen Girard, the Man, His College, and Estate" Chapter 4. The following is an excerpt from the book which indicates there were ONLY 22 reburials to Laurel Hill: "In 1881 he was appointed Vice-President of Girard College , serving under Dr. Allen. This year, the remains of the twenty-two students buried on the College grounds were moved to the newly acquired burial plot in Laurel Hill."

Henry would have qualified to attend Girard College as his father died about 1860, his mother had 4 sons to care for with the help of her 22 yr old daughter.
