Ralph H. Burnette (1933 - 2012)

Ralph H. Burnette, 78, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington Funeral Home.

For 36 years he was a data processing manager for General Motors and Electronic Data Systems. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Arlington. He played guitar in a gospel and country music group for senior citizens and was a music director for churches in Georgia and California for several years. He was a loving husband and great father.

Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Virginia McCullough Burnette; daughter, Rhonda Barnett and husband, Michael, of Oklahoma City; son, Gregory Burnette and wife, Johnna, of Arlington; grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Sarah, Nikki and Dustin; great-grandchildren, Marley, Levi and Jake; sister, Morene Whitworth and husband, Virlyn, of Conyers, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
