Augusta Jaegle

Mrs. Louis (Augusta) Jaegle, 91, formerly of Route 2, Streator, died at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 16 in Little Flower Nursing Home, St. Louis, Mo., after an extended illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Sts. Peter and Paul Church Hall, Leonore. The Rev. Charles McCarthy will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Thursday in the church hall. Arrangements were made through the Mueller Funeral Home, Lostant.

The former Augusta Lorig was born April 15, 1897 in Colfax to John P. and Bertha (Hoffman) Lorig. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and St. Anne's Sodality.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Janice) Schaeffer of St. Louis, with whom she had lived since 1981, and Mrs. Godfrey (Pauline) Wester of Leonore; one son, Francis Cotner of Oceanside, Calif.; one step-son, Ernest Jaegle of rural Tonica; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Peter Lorig of Arrowsmith and Henry Lorig of Colfax.

Mrs. Jaegle was preceded in death by her first husband, Ira Cotner; her second husband, Louis Jaegle and two sons, Leo who died at Pearl Harbor and Charles Cotner.
