Amos was a son of Peter Beemer & Frances/Fanny Courtright of Wantage Twp., Sussex Co., N.J. It is thought that Amos was born there. Amos married (1) 11 Nov 1854, Stillwater Twp., Sussex Co., N.J., by Rev. T. B. Condit (BK AF, p.392) to Elizabeth Farrier, d/o Michael Farrier and Mary Ann Neighbor. Amos of Baldmount (sic), Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania. They were married at the bride's home. Amos married (2) 12 Sep.1859, (Probably Falls Twp., Luzerne Co., PA) by John LaBar, J. P. to Mary R. Sax. Amos was of of Pittston, PA & Mary R. of Exeter, PA. (photocopy of marriage certificate). Will of Amos Beemer, of Mill City, Wyoming Co., PA. dated 29 Dec 1886; proved 16 Dec. 1895.
