Adela J. Laabs, 90, of Denmark passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Bellin Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her side.She was born April 25, 1923, in the Town of Rockland to the late Herman and Ottilie (Stever) Krahn. Adela married Victor (Butch) Laabs on May 1, 1943, at the home of Rev. E. Froehlich. They were privileged to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on May 1, 2013. Adela was a housewife all her life and farmed with her husband for over 35 years. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of Morrison Zion Ladies Aid.Survivors include her husband Victor (Butch) Laabs, children: Ruth Kibilowski, Paul (Gloria) Laabs, Dale (Diane) Laabs, Dianne (Jack) Mathies, Irene (Skip) Hopkins, Wayne (Carol) Laabs, Glen (Mary) Laabs, Darlene (Cliff) Lemke, Dennis (Susan) Laabs, Rodney Laabs, Steven (Denise) Laabs, Russell (Roxanne) Laabs, Sharon (Eric) Treml and Karen (Richard) Antolec; 42 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law: Dorothy Krahn and Vi Belongia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Adela was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbert and Meinhardt Krahn; a son-in-law, Chester (Chet) Kibilowski; two grandchildren and one great grandchild; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church 7395 County Highway W, Morrison, Wisconsin until the time of service. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Randy Ott officiating. Burial in the church cemetery
