Mrs. Rose C. Morrissey, age 89, of 423 State Street, died on Sunday, August 25, 1974, at a local hospital. Born Oct. 16, 1884 in Kellnersville, she was the former Rose Ledvina and had been a Madison resident since 1943. Mrs. Morrissey was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include a
daughter, Mrs. Louise Morrissey Heinig; a son, Joseph, 423 State St.; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Swoboda, Manitowoc, Mrs. Henry Dransner, Francis Creek; three grandsons; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, in 1936, three sons, Thomas, in 1951, Michael in 1967, and John in 1971. Funeral services will be held at the Holy Redeemer Church, 120 W. Johnson St., at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, The Rev. Austin Henry officiating. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Monday, August 26, at the Joyce Funeral Home, 540 W. Washington Ave., where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. on Monday, August 26.
