Bertha Faulds was born on October 9, 1897 at Ivanhoe, MN to Thorvald and Magnia (Magnusson) Goodmundson. Bertha was Baptized and Confirmed at the Ivanhoe United Methodist Church, where she was a lifelong member. She attended Ivanhoe Public Schools and was graduated from Ivanhoe High School in 1915. She attended Normal Teachers Training and taught rural school for a time in Lincoln County. On June 28, 1917, she and Hugh P. Faulds were united in marriage at Ivanhoe. Bertha was an active member of the Ivanhoe community. while raising her family, she also operated the Home Bakery in Ivanhoe. She was a member of the Methodist Ladies Aid, The Royal Neighbors of America, and the Ivanhoe Home Study Club. She served for many years on the Ivanhoe School Board, served as Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed playing cards.

Bertha is survived by her children: Mrs. Arlene Adolphson of Bellingham, WA; Malcolm, Dale and Rolland all of Minneapolis, MN: Eugene of Ivanhoe, MN and Ruth Torres of Sacramento, CA. Also surviving are 22 Grandchildren and 23 Great
Grandchildren; one brother, Theodore Goodmundson of Dutton, MT and one sister, Chrisline Hammer of Minneota, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hugh and six brothers and sisters.
