Margaret E. Youmans
Following an illness of six months, Mrs. Margaret E. Youmans died today at her residence, 150-49 86th avenue, Jamaica. She was the wife of Scott Youmans, a retired school teacher.
Mrs. Youmans lived in Jamaica since 1907 anf for many years was active in the First Jamaica Methodist Church.
Her daughter, Florence, is employed by the Brooklyn Trust Company.
Mrs. Youmans was born in Westford, near Cooperstown, 65 years ago. She taught school for a brief time before her marriage. Besides her husband and her daughter, Florence, she leaves another daughter, Mrs. Bernice Torrey, and two granddaughters, June and Fay Torrey.
Services will be held at the residence at 2:30 p.m. Friday and burial will be in the village cemetery at Elk Creek, near her birthplace.
