Ballweg, Emma A.
SAUK CITY — Emma A. Ballweg, age 84, died on Monday, November 19, 1990, at Maplewood Nursing Home. She was born in Roxbury on December 28, 1905, the daughter of the late John and Clara (Roos) Breunig. She was married to Florian Ballweg on February 9, 1926. They farmed in the Roxbury area for many years before moving to Sauk City, where Emma worked at the West Side Dairy and also cooked for many years at St. Aloysius School before retiring. Mrs. Ballweg was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, St. Rose Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, the Jolly 16 Homemakers, and the Royal Neighbors of America. Emma will be missed by all for her many crafts, flower gardens, and love for children. Survivors include her husband, Florian; three sons, Werner, Andrew, and Vincent; five daughters, Angeline, Evelyn, Mary Ann, Seraphine, and Leona; 57 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe (Tharsilla) Breunig of Sauk City; two sisters, Frances Schroeder of Sauk City, and Seraphine (Al) Endres of Waunakee; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Breunig of Sauk City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Loraine; a daughter-in-law, Inez; three grandchildren; a brother, Leonard Breunig; and a sister, Florentina Ballweg of Columbus. Funeral services will be held at GNEWIKOW-HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, and at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH on Wednesday, November 21, 1990, with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
