Born about February 2, 1800, the daughter of Benjamin Kelley and Mary Sharpley. Benjamin Kelley was born in Ireland in 1759, died Dec. 18, 1844 on Catherine Street, West Macclesfield. Mary Sharpley was baptized Aug. 30, 1778, at Taxal, Cheshire, England the daughter of Enoch Sharpley and Mary Brocklehurst.
Benjamin & Mary were married March 4, 1792 at Cheadle, Cheshire, England.

Mary Kelley married Thomas Harrop June 3, 1816 at the Gawsworth Parish, Cheshire by Rev. James Crabtree.
Mary had seven children with at least six of them attaining maturity.
Buried on March 21, 1830, at Christ Church churchyard.
