Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Waldo Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Lester L. Sutherland, 59, housewife of 1013 E. Epstein St., who died at 12:40 a.m. at a Sherman hospital.
Services will be conducted by Rev. R.M. Williams, pastor of the East Sherman Baptist Church with burial at West Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Sutherland was born Feb. 5, 1913 at Bonham, the daughter of the later Mr. and Mrs. Lee C. Owens. She was the former Daisy O. Owens before her marriage on Oct. 17, 1928 at Sherman to Lester Sutherland, who survives. She had lived her since her marriage and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Robert L. Sutherland of Houston, Jerry Sutherland, Donald R.. Sutherland and Doyle Keith Sutherland, all of Sherman. ; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Hatfield of Lubbock and Mrs. Bob Lemons of Ardmore, Okla; three brothers, Richard Owens and Alvis Owens, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; and E..L. Owens of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. A.V. Bounds of Sherman and Mrs. W.L. Wooten of Waukegan, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be P.E. MILEY, J.J. Tracy, L.E. Smith, Bert Chapman, J.V. Gradick, Elliott Higgins, Albert Nibling and Leonard Nelson.
The family will be at the Waldo Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday and at other times at 1013 E. Epstein. St.
