Funeral Rites For Helen Burke
Helen Laughnan Burke, former employee of the Deaconess hospital in Great Falls, died at the age of 75 in a Havre rest home on Sept. 5.
Mrs. Burke was born Jan 21, 1894, in Roberts, Wis., and came to the Kremlin area in 1910. She worked as a stenographer for the Great Northern Railroad in 1921-1925, and worked for the Deaconess hospital in Great Falls for 20 years.
She was married in 1920, in Butte, to Herbert Burke, who preceded her in death in 1934. Survivors include one niece, Mrs. Eilene LaBelle, Whitefish; three nephews, Louis Laughnan of Caribou, Maine; Woodrow Laughnan of Fresno, Calif.; and Lloyd Laughnan of Havre. A brother, James, preceded her in death July 29.
