She then married Landen Cubert Halstead on the 28th day of February 1931 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Mattie and Landen divorced in January 1956 in Hillsborough County, Florida. Next, Mattie married Roy Triplett in April 1956 in Pasco County, Florida. She was 49 at the time of their marriage and probably did not have children with him. They divorced 15 February 1968 in Hillsborough County, Florida.
