Funeral srvices for Mrs. C.T. Pope, Sr, 82 of Magnolia Manor Garden Apartments, who died early this morning at the Americus and Sumter County Hospital following a short illness are planned for Friday from the Martha McDonald Moore Chapel at Magnolia Manor with interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Pope was a native of Coffee County, Al and had lived in Americus for the past 52 years. She was the former Eura Mae Wilson, daughter of the late Emory L. Wilson and Elma Pinkard Wilson.
She was a Past Worthy Matron and for many years secretary of Americus Chapter No. 63, Order of the Eastern Star. She also served as Grand Chapter representative to the state of Maryland, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Americus.
