Mary Elizabeth Pope Wolfe, 91, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 in Macon, Georgia.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 25 at 11 a.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with Rev. Tim Bagwell and Rev. Dianne Sweckard officiating. Burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon 31210 or the American Cancer Society , 804 Cherry St., Macon, 31201.

Mary was born in Coffee County, Alabama, grew up in Americus, and married Jay Solether, a Marine student pilot at Souther Field. Following his death she moved to Macon to work at Robins AFB. At Robins she met Clyde Wolfe, and they were married until his death in 2001. She was a charter member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church, and was retired from the Personnel Department at Sears. For many years she participated in the Seniors Bowling League, and enjoyed watching her granddaughters' softball and basketball games at Tattnall Square Academy. She was a five-time cancer survivor.

Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, CT and Eura Mae Pope, and siblings, Gladys Ellis, Kyle Tindall, Ray Pope, John Pope, and Tip Pope.
Mary is survived by her children, Mary Kate (Gregg) Crenshaw and Walter (Kim) Wolfe; granddaughters, Becky and Shelley Wolfe, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children and grandchildren.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
