Born in Clay Township, PA, Shirley was the daughter of the late George W. and Irene (Weitzel) Carvell.
She was employed as a factory worker at Fleet Air Shoe Company and the Walter W. Moyer Company.
She was also a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.
Shirley is survived by a daughter, four grandchildren, and three sisters.
Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012.
Memorial services will follow at 10 a.m.
Place of Interment will be St. John's Cemetery, Brickerville, PA.
