She will be laid to rest in the Douglas Cemetery in Oswego, Tennessee.∼Linda "Miss Linda" Adkins of Emlyn, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was 63 years, 7 months and 23 days of age. She was born on July 1, 1948 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late, John Barton Bryant and Rachel (Thomas) Bryant. She was also preceded in death her daughter, Laconda Adkins; brothers, Eddie Leon and Johnny Bryant; and a sister, Ella and her husband, David Nelson.
She is survived by special friend, Anderson Bowlin; three sisters, Nancy (Willie) Perkins, Mary Jo Rutherford and Ruth Bryant, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three brothers, Saul Bryant, Raymond (Joyce) Bryant and Phillip (Nadine) Bryant, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; her children, Vickie (George) Davis of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Johnny (Patricia) Adkins of Madrid, Spain, Jimmy Shane Adkins of Emlyn, Kentucky and Casey Adkins of Emlyn, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; special aunt, Shelby Bryant of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Douglas Cemetery in Oswego, Tennessee.
