Charles A Bucky Higdon 69 years, a resident of 2126 Twenty fourth Street, died at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for several years.
Born July 28 1911 in Kentucky, he was reared by Mrs. John Hart in Kentucky. He was a retired employee of Reynolds Aluminum Co. He also worked making base ball bats for Louisville sluggers.
Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Jeannie Butner of Louisville KY.; one step-daughter, Donna Cummings of Lawrence County: three step-sons, Ivory Johnson, Jr and Clarence Johnson, both of Lawrence County ad Robert Johnson of Avoca: four grandchildren: several step-grandchildren and one sister, Elizabeth Foley of Cincinnati Ohio.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Charter Mortuary with Bro. Ivan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Mundell Cemetery.
