Born July 28 1911 in Kentucky, he was reared by Mrs. John Hart in Kentucky. He was a retired employee of Reynolds Aluminum Co. He also worked making base ball bats for Louisville sluggers.
Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Jeannie Butner of Louisville KY.; one step-daughter, Donna Cummings of Lawrence County: three step-sons, Ivory Johnson, Jr and Clarence Johnson, both of Lawrence County ad Robert Johnson of Avoca: four grandchildren: several step-grandchildren and one sister, Elizabeth Foley of Cincinnati Ohio.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Charter Mortuary with Bro. Ivan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Mundell Cemetery.
