Adeline C. Wright, age 93, of Mankato, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Oaklawn Health Care Center, Mankato.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Mankato Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Adeline was born February 12, 1919 in Judith Gap, MT to Arthur S. and Martha Jacobsen. She attended school in Meridan, IA and graduated in 1936. Adeline then attended Cherokee Junior College, Iowa State Teachers School and the University of South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Wray A. Wright on December 31, 1940 in Cherokee, IA. Adeline was a kindergarten teacher in Los Angeles, the Worthington area and Mc Cook Lake, SD. Adeline lived in the Mc Cook area for over 30 years and was a Charter member of Mc Cook Lake Methodist Church. She moved to Worthington in 1995 and then to Mankato in 2000. Adeline was very active with spinning wool, silk and linen and was a very accomplished weaver. She was a member of the Handweavers Guild of America, the Pioneer Spinners, the Weavers Guild of America and was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star.

Adeline is survived by her son, Chuck (Cindy) Wright of Madison Lake; son-in-law, Lee Sass of Morgan Hill, CA; grandchildren, Mike (Paula) Wright of North Sioux City, SD; Jill (Ryan) Adams of Denver, CO; Jeff (Rachael) Sass of Sheboygan, WI; great grandchildren, Emily Sass; Lucas Sass; Braeden Wright; Keaten Wright; Colton Wright and Harper Wray Adams.

Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, Wray; parents, Arthur and Martha; daughter, Kathleen Sass and six brothers and sisters.
