William (Jim) Domenic Gilbert was the son of Philemon D. Gilbert and Rosetta Violet (Babcock), Mattison. Gilbert, McCoy, Hernes of Oceana Co., MI. His mother was d/o Z. Taylor Babcock and Clarissa Roxina Dake of Newaygo Co., MI.
He married Nellie Celia Bryan 25 June 1913 Riverton Twp. Mason Co., MI. She was the d/o
Nelson Bryan and Catherine H. Shaffer.
Divorced: 8 Mar 1926 Muskegon, MI. Then re-married again to each other
24 Sep 1926 Muskegon, MI. Re-Divorced 25 May 1928 Muskegon, MI.
They had two daughters: Emma Marcia Henrietta Gilbert b. 1914 and Mamie Marcella Gilbert b. 1915 and a son Hector Hale Gilbert-Radel in Muskeon Heights, Muskegon Co., MI.
After the birth of Hector Hale Gilbert, William D. Gilbert left the family.

His son Hector Hale Gilbert was officially later
adopted by his step-father Henry George Radel and his descendants are Radel in surname.
