"PASSED TO PEACE
Mrs. Alice Grace Bogard an old resident of El dorado passed away at the home of Mrs. Addie Fox on Spring street last Sunday morning at the age of 63 years, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Grace, and came to this county at the age of 9 years. She was married to Simon Bogard Jan. 1st, 1869. Three sons were born to them, of whom one, Harry, survives her. She became a communicant of the Church of our Saviour under Father Peirce's rectorship.
From that church she was buried on Tuesday at 10 a.m. The solemn burial service was read and funeral sermon preached by Rev. Thos. P. Boyd the rector, from the text, "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." A quartet of the boy choir sang appropriate hymns. A large concourse of friends attended the services."
