Born in Michigan according to all records found, "Nina" was daughter of Marguerite "May" (McIntosh). Records are sketchy, but she is listed as 16 yrs. old: on 1900 census of Butte County, South Dakota with mother and stepfather, William A Seifert. Nina married about 1903 and is listed as widow on 1910 census, where she is again listed with her mother, May M. McLean, and half siblings Seifert and McLean....
In 1920, Nina McCracken is listed with her 20 year younger sister Anna McLean in Meade County, SD.
1930, Sturgis, Meade, SD, Nina McCracken is listed alone, employed as a printer in a newspaper office.
1935 state census, Meade, SD, gives a clue where she is listed as Nina McCracken (Nina Stuart). Since it's a state census, that is all it says.
Nina A McCracken died in South Dakota, and is buried in the cemetery where her mother and some siblings are also buried.
