Reveille IV was the Official Mascot of Texas A & M University from 1975 to 1984. She was donated by veterinarian Tom Godwin of Deer Park, Texas, a member of the class of 1967. Reveille IV was a collie, but she was more golden in her coloring than Rev III. She attended the burial rites for Reveille III in September 1975 and her first football game that fall. Her handler that fall was Bob Vanderberry, Mascot Corporal, Company E-2, commanded by Michael Clark.

She was promoted to the rank of cadet general, the highest rank in the Corps of Cadets, in May 1981. She received a leather collar with five diamonds, according to The Battalion in May 1981. Today, five silver diamond-shaped discs are affixed to the blanket Reveille wears.

Former Reveilles are laid facing the south end zone and the scoreboard. After the addition to Kyle Field was built blocking the view of the scoreboard, a small scoreboard was placed on the north end outside of the stadium, called the Reveille Scoreboard, so the tradition could live on. A new memorial marker highlights the gravesite for the former Reveilles.
