Jim W Caesar, retired Oklahoma City florist. Born Sep 22, 1903 in Czechoslavokia. Passed away Apr 7, 1999. Jim came to the US in 1910 and lived in OKC with his parents, Mary Francis and Antone Caesar, both deceased. Jim had five brothers, Tony, Roy, Joe and Stanley (deceased) and Ernest Caesar of OKC; and two sisters, Mary Trochta (deceased) and Agnes Andrews of OKC.
Mr Caesar was owner of Caesar's Flower Shop on NE 23rd St for 30 years. Jim went to Hills Business College. In 1923 Jim married Lottie Ruth Raba and had a daughter, Aileen Ruth, wife of Harold W Crosley Sr. Mrs Caesar passed away in 1947. In 1948 Jim married Mamie Florence Davis with whom he celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary this past Novemeber. Mrs Caesar had a daughter, Zane (deceased), wife of Don Gillespie of California and one son, John Davis and wife, Jan, of Tulsa. Mr Caesar had 10 grandchildren (names omitted).
Jim loved flowers and after retirement, he built and opened a greenhouse at his home and grew and sold flowers for another 25 years. You never left his greenhouse empty handed. He gave away as many flowers as he sold. He enjoyed the company of friends, a good meal and his family around him. He will be missed by all. Services 10 am Saturday, Apr 10, 1999 at the Abbey in Rose Hill Cemetery.
