Mr. Mannenbach had worked for the Kelley family on the farm for the last two years. During the summer time he moved from one place to another with threshing crews.
As soon as it was known Mr. Mannenbach was ill, Rev. Regan and a physician were summoned but death followed shortly. As Mr. Mannenbach had worked in the vicinity of Mt. Calvary the remains were interred in the cemetery there. Little was known of his past life although he is said to have a brother surviving. [He had eight siblings, five of whom survived him.]
