DORCHESTER - Mrs. Nick Bauernschmidt, 72, Route 1, Dorchester, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, after being admitted Monday. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Peace United Church of Christ, Dorchester, with the Rev. Milton G. Petzold, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, Dorchester. She was born April 19, 1905 at Nuremberg, Germany. The former Betty Zirngibl came to the United States in 1923 and worked in Milwaukee in a glove factory. She married Nick Bauernschmidt April 30, 1927 and in 1967 they moved to rural Dorchester. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ and its Ladies Guild. She also was a member of the Busy Homemakers Club in Dorchester. She is survived by her husband and three grandchildren. Mrs. Bauernschmidt was preceded in death by one daughter.
