Musician, Composer. Marshall I. Rubinoff was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of The Spike Drivers, after Ted Lucas and Richard Keelan left the band in 1967 to record as The Misty Wizards. He wrote some songs for the band, including "Grocery Store," "Everybody's Got That Feeling," "I Know," "Time Will Never Die" and "Sometimes." He also was a rock and roll columnist for the periodical "Fifth Estate." Rubinoff relocated from Detroit to San Francisco after his attempts to form another band following the dissolution of the Spike Drivers failed; he died there in a motorcycle accident on July 7, 1968, a few days past his 24th birthday. He was married to actress Lin Shaye.
