Andrew A. Kennedy was the son of early Kentucky surveyor, James Kennedy Sr. On 14 Jun 1814, he married Mary Bates in Garrard County, Kentucky. Together they had three children: Ethelbert D. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Eliza Kennedy.
