Mildred O. Bates, age 78, of Soso died Saturday, March 11, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at Memory Chapel. Rev. Kenny Morris and Rev. Dr. Gayle Pope will officiate. Burial will be in Union Line Cemetery.
Mrs. Bates was a homemaker and enjoyed the fellowship at Eastview Baptist and the First Assembly of God in Ellisville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lottie Oates; daughter, Sandra B. Parker; and sisters, Nell Marie Oates, Bobbie Lee Wilson and Alma Elizabeth Oates.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbur Bates of Soso; one son, Robert Bates and his wife Cyndie of Soso; daughter, Lottie Tucker and her husband Mark of Laurel; sister, Doris Anne Wells of Gainesville, GA; four grandsons, Steven Parker, Daniel Tucker, Matthew Tucker, and John Robert Bates; granddaughter, Mary Beth Bates; two great grandsons, Blake Parker and Noah Tucker; and a great granddaughter, Maggie Gracen Tucker.
Pallbearers will be Steven Parker, Mark Tucker, Daniel Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Phillip Wedgeworth, and Andy Stringfellow.
Visitation will be held Monday from 5 until 7 pm at Memory Chapel.
