Cecil Pitts
PITTS Cecil Pitts, age 77, a resident of Mobile, AL for 45 years and born in Ellisville, MS, on May 14, 1934, received his upward call to Christ Jesus on March 11, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dent and Callie Pitts and brother, Ray Pitts. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bettye Pitts; daughter, Feleda (Bob) Keene; 2 grandchildren, Jeremy and Apryl Keene; 1 great granddaughter, Alexa; sister, Betty Maxcey; brother, Dean Pitts; other family and friends; two special Army buddies, Bill Fatheree and Curtis Helms. Cecil was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and a retired welder from Hiller Systems. The family would like to thank Dr. Liston Jones, Internal Medicine Center; Dr. Arledge and the staff of Southern Cancer Center; the Staff of Springhill Hospice for all of their loving care and kindness during his illness these past five years. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time at Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile. Interment Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice .
