Adelaide M. Des Marais, 101, of Faribault, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1994, at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Church, Faribault, with the Rev. David Kohner officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday for one hour prior to services. Arrangements are by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, Faribault. Des Marais, the daughter of Simon and Malvina Payant Des Marais, was born in Forest Township, Rice County, on June 21, 1893. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy and the St. Joseph's School of Nursing in St. Paul. She was a registered nurse in the Twin Cities area for a number of years, and later was the school nurse at St. Mary's College in Winona. She is survived by four sisters, Fabiola Clarine of Faribault, Edessa Williams of Faribault, Zoe Des Marais of Minneapolis and Odille Des Marais of Chicago and nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; by three brothers, Reginald, John and Simeon Des Marais; by two sisters, Claire Delesha and Lorraine Stehly.
